Commitment to Caring
The commitment in the field of neurorehabilitation ensures every year literally thousands of patients return to a life as independent and dignified as possible. Young patients and adults with severe neurological diseases, congenital or chronic, thanks to the Santa Lucia Foundation, have the security of knowing that doctors, therapists and psychologists are prepared to deal with the challenge of the patient situation. They are there also to assist the patient's family as they deal with the issues this type of condition can present.
We prepare for the Future Together
The research activities of Santa Lucia Foundation prepares tomorrow's cures and ensures the most current standard of care today. Many technologies used for rehabilitation in our hospital wards, such as brain-computer interfaces, virtual reality, robotic aids, are the result of our own laboratories research, transferred to the patient's bedside. Research programs of the Foundation have contributed over the years to design treatment protocols that today guide the field of neuromotor rehabilitation.
Forming the Next Generation
The university teaching, in collaboration with Tor Vergata University of Rome and Sapienza University of Rome, prepares the professionals of tomorrow, offering both traditional lectures along with the professional, experiential reality of the hospital.
